Content and intellectual property. You're welcome to read this site, link to it, and share those links. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, or create derivative works from its text, illustrations, or code without my written permission, or present any of it as your own.

Acceptable use. Please don't scrape or bulk-download the site, attempt to bypass its bot checks or rate limits, or use the contact form to send spam or abuse.

Availability and changes. I may change, add to, or remove any part of this site at any time, without notice.

Disclaimer of warranties. This site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of it is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this site.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Privacy policy

The short version: this site collects very little, and nothing it doesn't need to run the contact form.

Most of this site is static -- it sets no cookies, runs no analytics script of its own, embeds no tracking pixels, and shows no advertising. Browsing it doesn't send anything about you anywhere beyond what's needed to load the page.

The contact form. If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent as an email to me through Cloudflare's Email Routing service -- they aren't stored in a database. A short-lived counter tied to your IP address is kept for up to an hour, solely to blunt automated abuse, then it expires on its own. The form also runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that may process some technical browser data as part of confirming you're not a bot; that's governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy, not this one.

Hosting and connection data. This site is served through Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes ordinary connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse, and provides me with aggregate, non-personal traffic statistics -- counts of visits, the countries they came from, the pages requested, browser and device types. These are totals only; they don't identify you individually.

No accounts. This site has no logins, accounts, or user-submitted content beyond the contact form above.

Children's privacy. This site isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Third-party links. Links to other sites (LinkedIn, Orbit Angel, Luna Mothia, Dirt and Breath, and others) are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy. If this policy changes in a meaningful way, I'll update this page and the date below.
